Captain's Reports
FIRST PART OF JULY
July came in with a bang. We had 17in. of rain in a 2 day period around the 4th of July holiday. With that much fresh water comming into the bay, the fish scattered everywhere. We still managed to do well in deeper water beteen the flats and the Intercoastal and East Cut. I had the pleasure of fishing 2 lovely ladies from Harligen on Saturday. Gail Mckinney and Cynthia Garza learned how to fish croaker and produced some good results. Cynthia caught a 27&3/4 in. trout that weighed in over 6lbs.. Way to go girl. She is going to look good on Your wall. Monday and Tuesday I fished reps from The Texas Sporting Journal and Cabela\'s during their fishing field trip. Again welanded good #s of trout and reds working deeper water with croaker. I would like to thank The Texas Sporting Journal and Cabela\'s for all of the nice things they brought down for the guides. The water is getting back to normal and the wind will be laying down. So it is time to get back to the flats with topwaters and plastics under a Cajun Thunder. I have a few days open in July. Give Me a call & we can still get you on some really good fishing.
