Fishing report for Dec.17th thru Jan. 5th

Winter fishing this year has been very good for trout and redfish . Soft plastics fished very slow after the cold fronts has produced trout up to 30" and redfish in the 24" to 28" class.

I have been fishing the deeper cuts and channels in the upper Laguna were the baitfish seem to be holding in schools. As long as the water temps stay below 65 deg. and the cold fronts continue to roll in this pattern should remain the same. 

Unless there is some type of major weather disaster the Laguna Madre and Baffin Bay should continue to produce some good numbers and size fish in the coming months.
